Covers 36 Critical Illnesses:

The plan offers coverage to insured members for 36 critical illnesses. On diagnosis of any of these listed illnesses, the applicable sum assured amount will be paid to the policyholder.

Flexibility To Choose From 4 Variants:

An individual can choose from any of the following four variants of the plan as per his/her health coverage requirements:

  1. Critical Long-Term Health Care – Individual Cover
  2. Critical Long-Term Health Care Plus – Individual Cover with Return of Premium at Maturity
  3. Long-Term Family Health Care – Family Cover
  4. Long-Term Family Health Care Plus – Family Cover with Return of Premium at Maturity

Can Cover Dependent Children & Spouse:

If an individual chooses the variant ‘Long Term Family Health Care – Family Cover’ or ‘Long Term Family Health Care Plus – Family Cover with Return of Premium at Maturity’, he/she can cover his/her spouse or dependent children.

Returns Of Premiums At Maturity:

In case no critical illness benefit is availed by the insured members, then the total premium amount paid till maturity will be paid as maturity benefit. This benefit is only applicable to Critical Long-Term Health Care Plus and Long-Term Family Health Care Plus.

Death Benefit:

If no earlier critical illness benefit has been paid, the whole premiums paid up to the date of death for that life assured will be payable to the nominee as a death benefit.

Inbuilt Waiver Of Premium Benefit:

Under Critical Long Term Health Care and Critical Long Term Health Care Plus, all future premiums will be waived and the policy will continue to provide all other benefits until the end of the current policy term if the life assured, who is also the policyholder, suffers an Accidental Permanent Total Disability during the policy term.

And Under Long-Term Family Health Care and Long-Term Family Health Care Plus, all future premiums will be waived and the policy will continue with all other applicable benefits for any remaining life assured (s) already covered by the policy in the event of an earlier occurrence of Accidental Permanent Total Disability, diagnosis of any of the covered Critical Illnesses (excluding Angioplasty), or death of the life assured (who is also the policyholder).

High Sum Assured Rebate:

For each additional sum assured of Rs. 1,000 beyond the minimum sum assured, a “High Sum Assured Rebate” or “HSAR” on the premium due would be provided. The premium rebate payable is as follows:

Suicide Exclusion: The nominee or beneficiary of the life assured shall be entitled to receive the greater of 80% of the total premiums paid or the surrender value as of the date of death, provided that the policy is in force if the life assured or any of the lives assured (as applicable) dies by suicide within 12 months from the date of commencement of risk or the date of the latest revival of the policy, whichever date is later.

Yes. A 90-day waiting period will be in effect for the critical illness benefit starting on the date the risk started, or the latest revival, whichever comes first. The policy will be extended as long as all due regular/limited premiums are paid if the critical illness occurred during the waiting period, in which case the critical illness benefit will not be paid.
