How To Check PAN Card Application Status

PAN Card Application Status

The Permanent Account Number (PAN) is a unique alphanumeric identifier assigned to all entities engaged in financial activities within India. This unique code is crucial for both individuals and organisations as it facilitates the filing of Income Tax Returns and the execution of high-value transactions, typically those exceeding Rs. 50,000.

Remember that obtaining a PAN card involves a simple application process. Applicants can either apply for a new PAN card, request updates or corrections to an existing one, or seek a reprint if the original PAN card has been lost or misplaced.

Once the application for a new PAN card or any updates to an existing PAN card has been submitted, tracking its status becomes essential. Applicants can check the status of their PAN card through two primary online portals: the UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Limited (UTIITSL) PAN Portal and the Tax Information Network of the National Securities Depository Limited (TIN-NSDL) PAN Portal.

In this post, we’ll discuss the various methods available to check the status of your PAN card application or update requests to ensure that you stay informed throughout the process.
