How Edelweiss Family Health Insurance Is Beneficial?
You should choose the Edelweiss Family Health Insurance plan because of the following reasons:
- No Claim Bonus
If no claim has been filed or paid by the company in the expired policy year, the plan will increase the sum insured on a cumulative basis as a No Claims Bonus at the conclusion of each completed and continuous policy year. Every year without a claim increases your Sum Insured by 10%, up to a maximum of 50%.
- Health Checkup For Every Claim Free Year
Policyholders who are 18 years and above are eligible for a free health check-up for every claim-free year under all three variants of the plan. This allows the policyholder to keep track of his/her health and take prompt action if anything critical is diagnosed.
- Recovery Benefit
For each continuous and completed period of 24 hours of inpatient hospitalization for the recovery of the insured person, the company will pay a fixed sum up to a maximum of 10 days of hospitalization during the policy year. The recovery benefit is available under the Gold and Platinum variant with Rs. 1000 per day and Rs. 1500 per day respectively.
- Critical Illness Cover Benefits
The policy also offers critical illness cover to the policyholder. It comes as an option under the Silver variant, whereas, it is included as a base feature under the Gold and Platinum plan. Under the Gold plan and Platinum plan, the sum insured increases by 50% and 100% respectively, when you are diagnosed with any of the listed critical illnesses.
- Restoration Benefit
If the Total Sum Insured, including earned No Claim Bonus (if any), is insufficient as a result of claims paid or accepted as payable during the policy year, the plan will once per policy year restore 100% of the Sum Insured on an indemnity basis. This benefit is only available for Gold and Platinum variant.
