How To Apply For United India Health Insurance Claim?

Reimbursement Facility

Want to try the reimbursement facility offered by the United Health Insurance plan? You can claim it quite easily in just a few steps!

  • There are two types of claims when it comes to reimbursement. The first one includes reimbursement of daycare, pre-hospitalisation and hospitalisation expenses. In this case, you will have to submit all the necessary documents to the TPA (third party administration) maximum within 30 days of discharge.

    The second category includes reimbursement of post hospitalisation claims. For this, you need to submit all the necessary papers maximum within 15 days after you have received the post-hospitalisation treatment.
  • In case of planned hospitalisation, you are required to inform the insurer at least 48 hours before seeking admission.
  • In case of emergency hospitalisation, you will have to update UIHI within the first 24 hours of the emergency hospitalisation or before he/she gets discharged.

Cashless Facility

If you want to go for the cashless claim facility, follow the below-given steps and get your health insurance claim cleared easily!

  • Check out the list of network hospitals in the policy paper. Choose the one that seems nearest to your location. You can seek admission in any of the network hospitals.
  • Next, you need to fill out the cashless request form available with the TPA/network provider and send it to the company or TPA for further processing and authentication.
  • Apart from this, you will have to share some other medical information. If you fail to provide the needed medical details, United India Health Insurance has the right to deny the issuance of the pre-authorisation letter.
  • Soon UIHI company will issue a pre-authorisation letter for the hospital.
  • The day you get discharged, you will have to sign the discharge papers. Also, for non-medical and inadmissible expenses, you will have to pay from your pocket.
  • In case the insurer refuses to provide the cashless claim settlement facility, you can then opt for the reimbursement facility and submit relevant documents.

Copayment Process Under United India Health Insurance
