Types of Vehicle Registration at Hyderabad RTO
Driving any vehicle on the highways in Telangana or elsewhere in India without first registering it with the appropriate RTOs is severely banned, as stated in the Motor Vehicle Act of 1998. This is the reason that registering a bike or automobile with the Telangana RTO is required of all vehicle owners in the state. There are two different types of registration, and the procedures for both are described below:
- Permanent Registration: Every vehicle operating on public roads is required by the Motor Vehicle Act to be registered with the Regional Transport Office. The vehicle is registered for 15 years under this type of registration, known as a permanent registration. The RTO Telangana registration number is given to the vehicle’s owner as well. It must be renewed for additional years after the initial term expires. The owner of the car must present specific documentation to obtain permanent registration.
- Temporary Registration: At the moment of purchase, the vehicle’s dealer provides the owner with a temporary registration number. After receiving the temporary license, the owner must register the car within 30 days.
